Register Today for the Planning for Healthy Communities Conference on August 31 at the Charles Mack Citizen Center, 215 N. Main Street in Mooresville.

The 4th annual Conference will provide a full day of education, networking, and collaboration on topics related to community design, healthy food access, collaboration, equity, and data related to building healthy, economically viable communities.

The Conference is designed for land use and transportation planners, public health officials, park and recreation professionals, city and county managers, elected officials, planning board members, students, community advocates, etc. 

Breakout sessions will cover topics such as inserting public health into planning initiatives, providing access to healthy foods, making the business case for healthy planning, creating rural play spaces, and taking a comprehensive approach to increasing physical activity. 

AICP Certification Maintenance Credits will be requested.
