Arthritis Services of Charlotte Mecklenburg Joins Forces with Centralina Area Agency on Aging

Arthritis Services of Charlotte Mecklenburg joined forces with Centralina COG and the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) on Feb 1, 2017.

"This is a great addition to the services we provide to the Centralina region," said Linda Miller, CCOG's Director of Aging Programs.

For the past 40 years, Arthritis Services has been a free-standing non-profit dedicated to supporting and teaching persons with arthritis and other chronic health issues appropriate self-management skills that are adjacent to medical management. Most specifically, The Community Arthritis/Chronic Disease Project provides comprehensive programming in locations where the Mecklenburg County Senior Nutrition Project has noon-time meals for our senior citizens.

Indebted to the CCOG’s leadership for recognizing the potential for a partnership between Arthritis Services and the AAA, and the potential for both entities to become even stronger than ever, the future of the agency will include expansion of services into the Centralina region.
